This wonderfully delightful book was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The story is great and the lesson resonates well. Children need to have empathy as do adults and this book demonstrates just that.

Keesha Luz and Her Magic Eye is a meaningful children’s book that supports social-emotional learning through an engaging and relatable story. From an educator’s perspective, it offers valuable opportunities to discuss self-awareness, empathy, and perspective-taking in age-appropriate ways. With accessible language and strong discussion potential, this book is a great addition to elementary classrooms and school libraries.

What a delightful book! Keesha is charming little girl with the best super power, and one that kids can kind of identify with (what kid hasn't swayed a parent with a special look?), as opposed to Marvel super heros. And the illustrations, especially of her super power, are wonderful. I know what all my friends' grandchildren (I can't believe I'm old enough to have friends who are grandparents) will be getting this holiday season!

What a great story about empathy and acceptance! This is a well written children's book. Both parents and children will be able to relate to this little girl's desire to have people to accept one another despite any differences they may have. Children will particularly like Keesha's Magic Eyes which allows her to manipulate other's negative thinking.

Keesha Luz and Her Magic Eyes is a story that opens our ""eyes"" to clarity and relevancy with regard to welcoming and nurturing diversity. It encourages acceptance of truth in diversity and paves the way to insightful recognition that love is and has always been diverse. A perfect purchase at any time when hope, courage, and joy seem out of sight. As a university writing instructor, I love the way Keesha's superpower springs from a simple exercise in connecting deeply through the eyes of another. She encourages us to test our own innate ability to do likewise.
