Bonnie Strahs

Bonnie Strahs is a retired social worker who spent decades creating programs for women and children facing homelessness, domestic violence, and other challenges. She also worked directly with children and adults with special needs. In retirement, Bonnie has embraced creative pursuits as a background actor, print model, and voiceover artist. She divides her time between Philadelphia, PA and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with her wife. Bonnie’s passion is helping children grow in empathy and compassion—for people, animals, and the planet.

Cheryl Lee-Owens

Cheryl Lee-Owens was a born storyteller. As a child, she loved listening to “grown folks business,” learning how to weave tales that captured attention and emotion. For over 34 years, Cheryl taught Special Needs students in underserved communities. She believes in human rights, equality, and the power of one person to make a difference. Through the Keesha Luz series, Cheryl empowers children to believe in themselves, stand for kindness, and be agents of change.
